| Nice weather for ducks! |
This week has turned on its head a little. I've ended up coming down with some kind of virus/infection which has knocked me for six. I'm off to visit the Dr's today, I wouldn't normally bother them as I don't 'think' I need antibiotics but I don't feel well enough to go to work and I need a Dr to confirm that (insert rolling eyes here due to work's sickness policies).
How's the weather with you? Is it just the UK that is experiencing this odd weather or are other places battening down the hatches too? I'm now keeping my fingers crossed for some sunshine and warm weather as my patio plants are really looking like they need it.
My Sunny Spread Ta-Dah is in the pipeline.......It has taken three days for it to dry!!!! I now need the weather to behave today so I can get some photographs of it draped somewhere green and lush outside!
Looks horrid down there! Had something like that last year and because the village is built on a hill our garden was a sodden mess.
ReplyDeleteWe escaped the torrential rain this time and the sun is even out today. Still cold though but thats what you get for staying in remote Scotland! :)
Hope you feel better soon xx
We are having strange weather here in the US too. Over half the country is at 100F/38C right now. I hope the UK dries off and we cool down soon. Talk to you soon.
ReplyDeleteWe've avoided the crazy weather so far here in the south. was lovely and warm yesterday but today it's grey and drizzly
ReplyDeleteThe US is crazy right now, too. Soaring temperatures, flooding here in Florida, so dry they're having wildfires in Colorado. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything dries out soon for you!
Blessings,
Kate
Oh, forgot to say, feel better soon, too!
ReplyDeleteDry dry dry in northern parts of South Africa, icy weather and ran for the southern half. While we are dry, my sis watches the flooding in Ireland.
ReplyDeleteOur weather near Portland, OR has been very similar to yours, Carole...definitely the focus of conversations :)
ReplyDeletePraying you get well soon!

Ack! Sorry you're ill; good tho for you to see the doctor. Bacteria is no joke. I was ill w/some bug from Sunday to Wednesday. Nyquil is my friend in those times. My sinuses were hurting whenever I wrinkled my nose or touch the bridge of my nose. But it got better.
ReplyDeleteIt's muggy today. It was so drizzly and wet out. It's windy as well. My allergies or whatever kicked up big time. I used a whole pack of travel Kleenex on a 6 mi drive.
Get well dear Carol. Those kids' mother shouldn't let them play in that gross water. Who knows what germs lurk about in it. Eek!
So sorry you have been ill--I have been too. Whatever I had involved light-headedness and balance issues. My doc did plop me on antibiotics as she though my middle ear was probably inflamed. I have to say, after 2 weeks, I finally feel better. I hope you feel better real soon too! As far as weather goes, here in the states it has been a bit wonky too. The east coast (think the New York side of the country) has been suffering with staggering heat temperatures. Us, over here the west coast( think Seattle) are still waiting for summer to arrive. Sheesh---it has been rainy and cool, and then rainy and humid, with sunny days few and far between. We had a rain and wind storm come through last Saturday that was just like our storms in November! Oh, and where are those children in waters' mothers?? Never a good sign when water stinks!
ReplyDeleteHope we both get our summer soon, and we both can get and stay healthy....
*smiles*
Here in Belgium, the weather is very similar to yours...
ReplyDeleteI hope summer will arrive soon; my garden and I, we need it!
Get well soon,
Liz.
