I feel like I've made lots of progress this week on my Sunny Spread, but really all I have done is another seven squares and I've joined the first 16 squares together. I think I needed to join that first block together to get a feeling for how the finished blanket will look and also to give me an idea of how many of the 'blocks' I need to do. Originally I estimated nine but I think 16 might be the magic number. I also wanted to see how far one ball of the off white yarn would go and one ball does one complete block of 16 with a little bit left over.
I'm looking forward to seeing all your progress today and I hope everyone is still feeling motivated. We now have 302 members on the Ravelry group and if you haven't joined yet, please do!So time for the fun bit! ReplyDeleteWow you have made loads of progress as joining stuff together makes it look more "finished".
ReplyDeleteYour squares are looking lovely joined together like that! I've been dying to do that with mine but I'm not convinced that I'd be able to balance the colours across the whole blanket doing it that way!
