So the last week has been devoted to the Sarayon and it's almost there. I had thought I would need 20 repeats but I think 16 is going to be more than enough. So 2 straight sections left to do and then I will be on to the decreases. I tried to photograph this pinned out on our bed this morning so you could see how much progress I've made but the photographs were so bad I couldn't bring myself to upload them! So instead we have a 'scenic garden shot'........
Please head over to Tami's blog to check out lots of other WIPW blogs :)
Oh and while you are here, please come and have a look at my new Ravelry group called One a Day. The idea is to pick a large project and work on one part of it everyday until it's finished. Maybe a stripe or a square a day! The lovely Alice from Crochet with Raymond and Cindy from Baxtersrest are helping me to run the group and we would love to see you there. I'll be starting my project next Tuesday and will start the blog links then too if you would like to join in with that too!
We are off shoe shopping for all four of the children today - wish me luck!
I like the scenic garden shot :)
ReplyDeleteMy knitting incorporates the yarn I am using, plus probably a few of my own hairs tangled in it (well, only if I', knitting for myself and can't be bothered to pick them out!)
HOORAY I can comment!
ReplyDeleteLove your shawl, its so pretty.
That's such a pretty colour! Oh, and labrador hairs just get everywhere don't they?! Good luck with shoe shopping by the way! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh....this is lovely!!! And the "one a day". Such a great idea....I need about 10 a day right now....I am suffering from nothing is finnished itis !!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color - it's going to be gorgeous! I had to laugh about the doggie hair - I'm so glad mine doesn't shed but if I'm knitting at my in laws, I get Golden hair all over!!
ReplyDeleteNo ma'am, indeed you are not. I told the Crystal Palace Yarn people last month during their scarf KAL that I had improved on the fiber content of their Mini Mochi, and it is now 1% cat fur. =D
ReplyDeleteI'm suprised my tension isnt out with all the extra hair that gets added to my projects!!! Very pretty colourway xx
ReplyDeleteLove the garden shot of your shawl -- it's perfect! And, it's common knowledge that the presence of dog hair in one's knitting makes it both stronger and more lovely. At least, that's what I tell myself...
ReplyDeleteThat is turning out lovely. Don't you just love Madelinetosh? Great color.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really must try some of that yarn :)
It's lovely :O).
ReplyDeleteGood luck shoe shopping!
So pretty. I had a look at the Ravelry Group but I'm already feeling overwhelmed. Maybe once I clear up some more of the things I have on the go! Good luck with the group though - 138 members already!
ReplyDeleteI love the garden shot. I love any pictures that aren't of desert brown/tan. Your shawl looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteFour cats and three rabbits in this house. Nothing escapes getting a good coating of fur.
I was looking at the Sarayon shawl pattern yesterday - it looks gorgeous, but my list of 'Ooooo I must make one of those's is too long...I'm starting my one a day tomorrow... I'm off to look at Tami's blog:)x
ReplyDeleteSo tempted by the one-a-day group, what a good idea! And I love the Sarayon, the border looks beautiful. Luckily, my cat's fur mostly manages to stay out of my yarn---I wish I could say the same for my hair, which gets worked into my amigurumi on occasion.
ReplyDeleteYou'll enjoy how it seems to speed up in the decrease section! Beautiful photo, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is looking really lovely! =) And yes, my projects are usually 80% yarn, 5% my hair, 10% dog number 1's hair and and 5% dog number 2's hair!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I got the package from your giveaway in the post today, thank you so much! It's so lovely and I feel so lucky =)
Love the colour you've picked :)
ReplyDeleteI have 2 cats and a dog, so yes the natural fibres find their way in! Love the colours of your scarf! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nicely posed! I love the color against the rock.
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely colour! I need more pink in my life. Make sure you take a shot of it being worn!
ReplyDeleteOh yes I know exactly what you mean...all my knitting or crochet is two parts yarn and one part labrador!!! Lucky they are so lovable!
ReplyDeleteAnne from Oz
I agree, everything I make has at least 1% siamese fur!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink, it is so gorgeous and will look stunning on :O)
Hope the shoe shopping went well!
Your shawl is gorgeous and the colour is wonderful. I wish I could join your one a day group, but if I did one of the octogons for my blanket everyday, I wouldn't have time to do anything else!
ReplyDeleteI love naturally blended fibers myself. My projects always have Siberian Husky blended in :)
