Eyes Open!

Katherine was really wide awake last night so I took the opportunity to take some photographs with her eyes open. Check out the little tear in the photograph below! Today she has come out in loads of little pimples on her face so no photographs for a few days until they clear up!



I have been doing some knitting but have forgotten to take any photographs of the progress so far! I've turned the heel on my first sock and it looks like it should even though I think I did several variations of SSK2tog. I now need to pick up the stitches so I can do the foot portion of the sock and might try to get that done tonight. The baby blanket continues to grow but I haven't done any of it for a few days, the sock just seems easier at the mo!

Will take some photographs of my sock once I've picked up the stitches and show the progress so far!

In Use!

Just a quickie post today to show you Katherine all wrapped up in here hand knitted baby blanket. I took this last night while I was watching 'How to Look Good Naked', I love that programme but wish they would not have quite so many curvy people on and have some flat chested, no figure beings like me on instead!

Sock Wool and Baby Blanket!

I got a lovely little package delivered on Friday, some more Sublime wool, sock wool and a gorgeous little bag to keep my sock knitting in. I am hoping once things settle down a bit I can knit when feeding and thought the sock knitting would be ideal for that as it's easy just to do a few stitches at a time.

Progress on the baby blanket has been very slow over the last few days but I have managed to do a little bit here and there and now have about 3 inches done. It will get done eventually but at the moment other things are taking priority. Well, not much else to report so here's a photo of my new wool!

Pretty Girl

I promise that eventually the blog will go back to being about crafting but for now there is not much crafting going on! My time is taken up with this little one and the rest of the family and the house! She is just gorgeous, she is no trouble at all and generally cries when she would like to feed and if she is cold or just wants a cuddle.


This is her first day in a proper outfit and it is a pretty little outfit from Mothercare. We've always bought the babies an outfit when they were born that we have picked ourselves and this is the one we went for. Green is definately her colour!

So Far......

I have been mainly sleeping and feeding and posing for photographs. Mummy has put some make-up on today and looks less bleary eyed so maybe we might have a photograph together today! I seem to like sleeping for a few hours and then feed for a few hours so Mummy has been getting some sleep. I've been feeding very well and now Mummy is feeling a little sore but on the whole it's going ever so well.

Katherine Ruby

Just a quick post today! Katherine Ruby was born at 18.55 on Wednesday 30th April 2008, weighing 7 lb 6 1/2 ozs at home on the bedroom floor! We are both doing fine and have enjoyed a lovely day resting at home. Here's some photo's taken today, she is still a little 'puffy' from entering the world so quickly and it's taken her all day to open her eyes. She's currently resting in her pram but is soon going upstairs for supper and bed.
